our alcove story
Alcove is housed in two of the oldest houses in Los Feliz: a Spanish duplex built in 1916 and a Craftsman cottage built in 1897. These two structures have been occupied and enjoyed by many generations of residents and businesses.
Originally built as private homes, these houses were converted to commercial use in the 1970's. Over the last 50+ years, these structures have contained specialty offices, a small private school, a real estate firm, and most recently an escrow company.
Alcove became the proud face of this address in 2004.

your own cottage
Our event cottage, a Craftsman built in 1897 located behind our main house, is designed for private parties, meetings and special events.
It is a completely modular space, equipped with Internet, music, and 50” television.
Consider us for your next private function, whether it be a bridal or baby shower, rehearsal dinner, birthday, tea party, or your offsite corporate meeting. In addition to our package offerings, we'd happily customize your experience upon request.
We provide full service wait staff for all functions and dedicated bar staff as needed. Valet parking is available. Other services such as floral arrangements, custom linens, additional a/v equipment and more are available upon request.

Any of our patios are available for private functions whether it be a cocktail party, a dinner party or a rehearsal dinner. We will fully customize your occasion.

Throughout the years we have thrown dozens and dozens of the most festive, themed parties celebrating every occasion imaginable. We’ve enjoyed transforming our property while transporting you. Notables include our Kentucky Derby parties, Valentine’s Day proms, spring galas, winter celebrations and monthly summer movie nights. One of our favorite events?.... New Year’s Eve, NYEX10, which we celebrate annually with themed décor, music, costumes and swag from 3-12pm every hour. Additionally, see our annual spring celebration. Check out the videos below!

You may send e-gift cards via e-mail or phone, you may craft a personal message to the recipient, and you can even schedule the delivery.
